Here are 2 Main reasons that your period may be late. 1. Medical issues: certain health conditions can cause delayed period; for instance, hormonal imbalances, which are due to irregularities in some hormones, such as thyroid disorder and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), etc.
2. Lifestyle changes: these are due to the choices we make daily, and these choices affect two categories of girls, called the active and inactive.
Girls who have never been intimate are called inactive, and those who have been intimate before are called Active.
A) For INACTIVE GIRLS: only stress, excessive exercise, significant weight loss or weight gain, and poor diet are the main reasons for delayed period.
B) For ACTIVE GIRLS: The use of birth control medications, unplanned pregnancy, or early menopause are the main reasons for delayed period.
For our story, Sarah, luckily, it turned out that stress and a poor diet were the culprits for her DELAYED PERIOD.
Please be aware that engaging in any form of intimate activity can be considered active.
